He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Raymond and Ethel Chaney Pershing; and his brother Eugene Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Pershing (Neatherton); his children, Michael Pershing (Sonja), Suellen Guyton (Robert), Beavercreek Pershing and Melanie Pershing (Edward Council); his grandchildren, Katrina Pershing, Avery Pershing, Karen Uchmanowicz (Stephen) and David Guyton (Nicole); his brother John Pershing (Darlene); and also Columbus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends.
