He was predeceased by: his parents, William Magnuson and Ruth Everett; his grandparents, Gordon and Emily Thomas; and his siblings, John Everett and Judy Decker.

He is survived by: his wife Kay; his children, Billy Magnuson (Jenny), John Magnuson (Michelle) and Judy Stutes (Alan); his grandchildren, Alex Magnuson (Colleen), Landon Magnuson, Makenzie Magnuson, Ashley Norris, Korinne Pace (Michael) and Olivia Magnuson; and his great grandchildren, Cohen, Novalee and Morgan.
