He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe and Evelyn Frances Garrett (Woolum); his wife Paula; and his siblings, James, Cecil, Charles Garrett and Mary Turner.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Laura, Melissa, Jennifer and Susan; and his siblings, Faye O'Neal, Marie Kash (Eddie) and Richard Garrett (Laura). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and a great grandson.
