He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Curtis and Grace Curtis (Bartlett); his wife Nancy Curtis; his brother Raymond Curtis; and his son-in-law Wayne Owens.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Owens and Laura Aldridge (Dave); his grandchildren, Amanda Landis (Andy), Brittany Shoemaker (Zach), Sarah Simpson (Ryan), Courtney Aldridge (Josh) and Brandon Nicoll (Casie); his great grandchildren, Blake, Aubrie, Hunter, Riah, Owen, Sam, Theo, Rylan, Alivia, Zeke, Noah, Lauralie and Parker; his grandson Bryan Simpson (Amber); and his great grandchildren, Mya and Melanie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Donations may be made in Russell's memory to the Eleazer Methodist Church (PO Box 271 Xenia, Ohio).
