He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart W. Brown and Hazel Scroggy Brown; his wife Gusta E. Brown (Hayslip); his children, Linda Kay Bull and Leslie Denver Brown; his grandchildren, Kellie and Brent Miars; his son-in-law Paul Bull; and his siblings, Joann Stamper (Ron), Stewart W. Brown, Jr., Charles P. Brown and Billy Eugene Brown.
He is survived by: his daughter Margaret Bunch (Steve); his grandchildren, Gary Brown, Cindy Lou Hardin (Jon), Heather Rhodes, Leslie Miars (Brenda McQuinn), Amy Leslie (Ron), James Richard Bull (Emily), Steve Bunch (Becky), Shawn Bunch (Missy), Jason Bunch and Joshua Bunch; his sisters, Nancy Graham and Sharon Rupert (Dennis); and his pet Louie. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
