He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Mello and Emma Engle (DeCosta); and his granddaughter Amber Shackleford. He is survived by: his wife Sharleen; his children, Ricky, Pamela, David (Galina) and Kelly; and his siblings, Loraine, John, Jim and Kenny. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
