She is survived by: her husband James Yates; her sons, James Jr. "Jimmy" Yates of Xenia and Bill Yates of Xenia; her brothers, Gary Elam of New Carlisle, Ohio and Danny Elam (Zada) of New Carlisle, Ohio; her grandchildren, Jesse, Bill Jr. and Hannah Yates; her sisters-in-law, Beverly Davidson (Glen) and Vera Yates; and her nieces, Trina Elam, Danielle Daugherty, Amber Elam, Tammy Travis, Crystal Travis, Jesse Lewis and Libby Hawkins. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McColaugh Massie Funeral Home, Inc. (826 N Detroit St, Xenia, OH 45385). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
