He was predeceased by: his parents, Ona Jane (Stewart) and Garret F. Given; his former wife Mary Jo Clelland Given; and his wife Lucille Meyer Given. He is survived by: his children, Pamela L. Given of Kettering and Dennis O. Given of Chicago, IL; his stepchildren, Laurie Torres (Arnoldo), Brian Vincent (Paula) of Centerville and Jeannie Schlater of Dayton; and his grandson Neil O. Vitali. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.
