He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William T. and Virginia K. Ungard (Johnson); and his brother William L. Ungard. He is survived by: his wife Carole J. Ungard (Epple); his children, Todd Ungard, Wendy J. Ungard (Scott Ostholthoff), Leesa E. Poole (Matt) and Michele Yost (John); his grandchildren, Elle, Nicholas, Alec and Jillian; and his brother Nicholas J. "Nick" Ungard of Dayton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Xenia High School Sports Hall of Fame, c/o Xenia Community Schools Foundation, 334 W. Market St., Xenia, OH, 45385, in his memory.
