With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Jay Pettit of Xenia, Ohio, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Pettit and Gertrude Pettit (Coss); and his brothers, Dick Pettit (Donna) and Ned Pettit (Becky). He is survived by: his wife Janet Pettit (Stephens); his children, Bret Pettit (Sandy) of Florida and Kelli Figgins (Casey) of Greenfield; his stepdaughter Tonya Rivera (Steve) of Xenia; his niece Krisanne Shinkle (Donnie) of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Trevor Figgins (Savannah), McKenzie Figgins, Tanner Pettit, Aaron Jones and Matthew Stamper; his great grandchildren, Iris, Brair, Rosalee, Aiven and Aaliyah; and his close friends, Don, Dave, Mike and Kenny.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powers-Kell Funeral Home (12 N Limestone St, Jamestown, OH 45335). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
