With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Jay Pettit of Xenia, Ohio, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Pettit and Gertrude Pettit (Coss); and his brothers, Dick Pettit (Donna) and Ned Pettit (Becky). He is survived by: his wife Janet Pettit (Stephens); his children, Bret Pettit (Sandy) of Florida and Kelli Figgins (Casey) of Greenfield; his stepdaughter Tonya Rivera (Steve) of Xenia; his niece Krisanne Shinkle (Donnie) of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Trevor Figgins (Savannah), McKenzie Figgins, Tanner Pettit, Aaron Jones and Matthew Stamper; his great grandchildren, Iris, Briar, Rosalee, Aiven and Aaliyah; and his close friends, Don, Dave, Mike and Kenny.

“So very sorry to Hear of Mike's passing. I have so many Joyful memories of my years working with both Janet and him. It wasn't like work most days as we were laughing and enjoying each other's company. Mike could be quite the prankster, which always made for even more of a laid back atmosphere most days. That being said , I still have the utmost respect for both Janet and him. My prayers are for the family at this time and will regret not being in attendance at his services”
