Though Mary Ann may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bates and Mary Evelyn Bates (Holten); and her siblings, Larry Anderson, Leo Chinn Bates and Bonnie Sue Davis.
She is survived by: her husband Martin E. Simmons; her children, Brian Dixon, Sr. (Leslie) of Xenia, Roxanne Dixon of Xenia and Karen Dixon-Mikel (Scott) of Xenia; her brother Larry Davis, Sr.; and her cousin Pam Blackman. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
