Lita Floreta Kitts Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 1, 2024, at the age of 89, Lita Floreta Kitts of Xenia, Ohio, born in Richlands, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Steele and Hazel Poore Steele; her husband Harold Burton "H. B." Kitts; and her siblings, Juanita and Benton Steele.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marcella "Lynn" Penn and Cheryl Ann Jones (Jerry); her grandchildren, Melissa Penn, Zachariah Dean (Jennifer), Malachi Dean (Ashley), Heather Austin, Benjamin Penn, Kristen Tamplin (Matt) and Caleb Dean (Kari); and her sisters, Almeta Robertson, Linda Thurmond, Carol Kitts, Monica Lenker and Teresa Smith (Joe). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Neeld Funeral Home, Inc. (1276 N Detroit St, Xenia, OH 45385). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6077 Far Hills Ave., #117, Dayton, OH, 45459, in her memory.
