He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Holley and Ethel Holley (Young); his former wife Connie Jean Holley (Fraley); and his siblings, Floyd, Tom, Richard Holley and Sherri Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Rose (Tackett); his son Mark Holley (Darlene); and his siblings, Mae Whittington (Max) and Frank Holley. He is also survived by five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
