He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Cyphers (Stollings) and Challis Main Cyphers. He is survived by: his children, Karen Cyphers of Dayton, Desney Burrick of Xenia and Lawrence W. Cyphers, II of Dayton; his grandchildren, Trae Grim, Aaron Fink, Ashley Parson, Macy Grim and Austin Cyphers; and his brother Chester Martin Cyphers. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
