She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Johnson and Rena Johnson (Burnett); her husband James H. Smith; her children, James David Smith and Doris Smith; and her great grandchild Tyler Phillips.

She is survived by: her children, Margaret Smith, Martha Smith and John Smith of Cedarville; her granddaughter Jocelyn Smith (Jerry Ferrell); her great grandchild Alex Ferrell; and her sister Catherine Burks. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives.
