He was predeceased by: his mother Janice M. Wardle (Brownfield); his stepmother Anna Wardle (Wobb); and his siblings, John Mark, Richard N., Arthur L., Samuel R. Wardle, Miriam Gayle Gloss, Janice M. Gentry and Bonnie Humphreys.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Wardle (Stephenson); his sons, Eric Matthew Jr. Wardle (Sarah) of Springfield, MO, Joel Stephen Wardle of Syracuse, NY and Timothy Bart Wardle (Julie) of Xenia; and his granddaughters, Rebecca, Jennifer, Tara, Madison and Amber. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
