She was predeceased by: her parents, Asa L. Sturgeon and Hazel M. Sturgeon (Terrell); her husband John Irvine; and her siblings, Blanche Lavonne Bennett, Terry Sturgeon and Francis Tom Sturgeon.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda L. Ferrell, John R. Jr. Irvine (Robin K.), James Robert Irvine (Amy) and Jerry R. Irvine (Robin A.); her brother Paul Sturgeon; and her grandchildren, Tommy, Johnny, Makenzie, Jamie, Samantha, Tara, Shelby, Montgomery and Sydney. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
