He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Coates and Patricia Coates; his sister Cheryl Younker (Herb); and his brother-in-law Ray Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Coates; his sisters, Robin Haman (Daniel) and Sandy Osborne (Brad); his children, Tiffany, Crystal, Eric (Brandie), Tayler and Anna (Jacob); and his stepbrother Russell Smart. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428).
