He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Bull and Julia M. Johnson Bull; his children, Angelic Bull and Justin Wayne Bull; and his siblings, Paul Bull and Carol McCoy.
He is survived by: his daughter Sarah Elizabeth Thomas of Hendersonville, NC; and his sister Melva Ann Hutchinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
