He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Sherwood Mahaffey and Viola Flo Webb Mahaffey; his sisters, Sharon Heater and Ruthie Mahaffey; and his siblings-in-law, Donnie Thatcher and Rita Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Ann Thatcher Mahaffey of Xenia; his children, Kevin Mahaffey (Donna) of West Portsmouth, Brian Mahaffey (Dana) of Xenia and Lisa Howard (Jason) of Xenia; his grandchildren, Jessica Wyman (Todd) of West Portsmouth, Cynthia Marshall (Jon) of Xenia, BreAnn Dotson (Danny) of Xenia, Shawna Mahaffey (Kalob Hudgel) of Xenia, Jessica Lynn Finelly of Florida and Little Kevin Stratton of Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Owen Wyman, Anna Wyman and Blakelee Dotson; his siblings, Joe Mahaffey of Amelia and Peggy Mahaffey of Seaman; and his close friends, Roger Thomas and Mike Moore.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home (6500 OH-348, Otway, OH 45657). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Berea Cemetery.
