He was predeceased by: his parents, William Isaac Strausburg and Anna Mae Strausburg Fulton; his sister Mary Carol Humphries; his grandson Ross Stuart Apple; and his nephew William Worley.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Robert Apple (Ann) of Murfreesboro, TN and Ross Apple (Barbara) of Xenia; his nephews, Charles Worley and Richard Worley (Valerie); and his grandchildren, Melissa Wiseman (Robert), Stacey Ross and William Enochs Spencer Apple (Alicia). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
