She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Cromer and Aileen Cromer (Spurill); her daughter Carolyn Denise Schafer; and her siblings, Peggy Cromer, Louise Marie Cromer, Donald L. Cromer and Harry Cromer Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Jack T. Schafer; her children, Thomas Schafer Jr (Vicki), Debra Schafer of Eaton and Michael L. Schafer (Dorina) of Xenia; her grandchildren, Bethany Rubio (Jesse), Carissa Haines (Randall), Jessica Schafer, Ty Stollings (Jacquie), Andrew Schafer and Alex Schafer; her great grandchildren, Malachi Rubio, Mason Rubio, Cassidy Haines, Carter Haines, Brody Stollings and Arianna Stollings; and her sister-in-law Judy Cromer. She is also survived by 5 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild.
