She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Knisley and Jessie Knisley (Sharon); her husband John R. "Bud" Sterling; and her sisters, Violet Knisley and JoAnne Peabody.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Thompson (Tim) of Xenia, Kathy Burgess (David) of South Salem, Krisandra Miller (Steve) of Yorkville, IL, David Sterling (Phyllis) of Peebles, Thomas Sterling (Annette) of Chillicothe and Jonathan Sterling (Sarah) of Bainbridge; and her siblings, Edward Knisley of Springfield, Rodney Knisley of Peebles, Rick Knisley (Nina) of Peebles, Rosemary Williamson of Peebles and Angela Shoemaker (John) of Greenfield. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
