He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie James and Anna Carletta Colbert (Akins); his grandson Wendell Colbert; and his sisters, Jessie Lockett and Tessie Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Irene; his daughter Sylvia Clark (Coleman) of Lima; and his sister Geneva Jackson of Xenia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
