He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wertenberger and Irene Fisher Wertenberger; his wife Tressa Pauline Hamlin; and his brothers, George, Richard and Robert Wertenberger.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Ullom (Jeffrey) of Mansfield and Jim Wertenberger of Wooster; his grandchildren, Melissa Hanna (Sal), Rodney Hicks (Jessie), Aaron Hicks (Megan) and Jamie Cline (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Tressa, Sarai Hanna, Elise, Ginger, Kevin, Jack, Silvia, Emily Cline of Bresa, J. C. and Makayla Hicks; his sister-in-law Maye Wertenberger of Wooster; and his friend Veronica Frontz of Wooster. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
