She was predeceased by: her husband William Brinkerhoff; her daughter Keri Smith; her granddaughter Kate Smith; and her sister Judy Shellenberger. She is survived by: her children, Scott Brinkerhoff (Theresa) of Maryland and Kelly Dillion-Brauneck (Brian) of Wooster; her grandchildren, Abigael Clayborn, Madison Brinkerhoff, Mary Claire and Samuel Smith; her great grandchildren, Charlie and Emersyn Wilson; her son-in-law Donald Smith; her brother-in-law Jack Shellenberger; and her former husband Melvin Dillion.
