It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sam Hostetler of Wooster, Ohio, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonas Hostetler and Lizzie Hostetler (Miller); his wife Josefina; his son Joshua Hostetler; and his siblings, Noah, Mahlon, Eli, Abe, Nelson, Erma Franks, Polly Sender, Lizzie Ann Hostetler, Susan Mast and Melinda Baum.
He is survived by: his children, Michele Mays (Michael), Jonas Hostetler and Jessica Hostetler (Christopher Kerzan); his grandsons, Devin Mays and Joshua Hostetler; his great grandchild Paige Mays; and his siblings, Jonas Hostetler Jr., Elma Troyer and Dora Debord. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murray Funeral Home (249 S Mill St, Fredericksburg, OH 44627). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at the East Side Cemetery.
