He was predeceased by: his in-laws, Harry and Harriette Shockey; and his sister-in-law Cindy. He is survived by: his wife Sandra S. "Sandy" Shockey; his sons, Shawn M. Hammond of Mayfield Heights and Chad M. Hammond of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Tyler and Brody Hammond; and also Richard Hammond (Jan) of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
