It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lawrence Besancon of Wooster, Ohio, who passed away on September 7, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Besancon and Laura Pailliotet Besancon; his grandson Gabe Koch; and his siblings, Adrian Besancon, Eileen Nicholas, Vincent Besancon, Raymond Besancon, Beatrice Garver, Ron Besancon, Mary Jane Tope, Joseph Besancon and Bernadette Besancon.
He is survived by: his spouse Lea Ann Smith; and his children, Bill Besancon (Sandy) of Wooster, Michele Koch (Tim) of Orrville, Dan Besancon (Tonya) of Wooster, Frank Besancon (Julie) of Smithville, Brent Besancon (Karrie) of Smithville and Burney Besancon of Orrville. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
