He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell "George" Griffis and Doris L. Griffis (Webb); and his sister Penny Jacobson. He is survived by: his wife Ruby M. Thompson; his sons, Joseph Salazar of Wooster and Julio Salazar (Carine) of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren, Jordyn and Josef Salazar; and his sister Jackie Paxton of Wooster. He is also survived by many other family members including many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
