She was predeceased by: her husband James Russell Sims; her son Thomas Lewis Sims (Mary Kathryn "Kitty"); her siblings, Joseph Lewis Brown (Pat) and Helen Clementine Munholand (Howard); and her sister-in-law Ruth Backstrom Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Judge David Sims (Lisa) and Martha Welker (Rodd); her grandchildren, Tyler Welker (Kristi), Chad Welker (Laura), Hannah Bennett (Ryan), Alex Sims (Melanie), Westin Welker (Bridget), Kate Sims and Allie Sims; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Welker, Aubrey Welker, Logan Welker, Madelyn Welker and Grayson Welker; her brother Robert James Brown; and her son Eckard Rademann. She is also survived by her family and friends for her love of children.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wheeling Country Day School.
