He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Brenneman Simmerman; and his grandparents, Marcus Sr., Katie Simmerman, Ernest and Mitsue Brenneman.

He is survived by: his father Marcus E. Jr. Simmerman; his brother Michael Simmerman of Wooster; his aunts, Terri Hessler (Jeff), Carol Stryker and Betty Durbin; and his uncle Gary Simmerman.
