He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Matthew Smucker (David Thompson) of Chicago and Amy Welty (Chad) of Wooster; his grandchildren, Jordan, Jessica Baker, Madyson and Taryn Welty; and his siblings, Bruce Smucker (Linda) of Orrville, Barb Steiner (John) of Orrville and Jean Kimberlin of Adamsville.
