He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Swigart and Jeanette Gartner Swigart; and his pet Annie. He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Swigart (Jennifer) of Wooster, Vicki Braunscheidel (Eric) of Wooster and Penny Malone of Wooster; his grandchildren, Amber, Abigail, Audrey Swigart, Alyssa, Ashley Braunscheidel, Joshua, Kendra Miller, Cortney Wilson (Justin) and Stetson Miller; and his brother Kurt Swigart (Kim) of McCormick. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
