He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Short and Doris A. Short (Zimmerman); his son John William-Bartholomew Short; and his brother-in-law Timothy L. Springstead. He is survived by: his children, Benja Short (Phil) of Jacksonville, FL., Kimberly Markley (Walt) of Wooster, Jason Short (Elizabeth) of Wooster and Kyle Short (Niki) of Wooster; his sisters, Nancy Edgell (Ernie) of Moundsville, W. Va and Leah Springstead of Wooster; and his former wife Sharon Short of Wooster. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
