He was predeceased by: his grandfather Wooster; his parents, John W. Dickerson and Ruth Lambert Dickerson; and his son John D. Dickerson. He is survived by: his stepdaughter Vikki Pringle; his grandchildren, Cassandra Boggs (Cody), Brittany Dickerson, Cora Westfall (Zach), Misty Pringle, Christian Dickerson and Courtney Dickerson; and his sister Natalie Bunt. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; great great grandchild.
