He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Merickel and Doris Matulin Merickel; and his daughter Michelle Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Keri Latham; his daughters, Christine Myers II (Rodney) of Dayton, Nicole Kendall (Matt) of Springfield and Tara Justice of Indiana; his stepdaughter Diana Mast (Aaron) of Dover; his grandchildren, Rodney Dennin (Chelsey), Nicholas Kendall, Juliette Pleskach and Benicio Derosa; his stepgrandchildren, Jaxson Mast and Liam Beckham; his great grandchildren, Wesley Dennin and Maycee Dennin; and his sister Denise Forhand (Wayne).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Chapel United Methodist Church (4203 W Old Lincoln Way, Wooster, OH 44691). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
