He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Abel (Reeves); his brother William L. Abel II; and his pet Buck. He is survived by: his father William L. Abel; his sister Janice Boord (Elmus); his nephew Joe Peterman (Taylor); his great-nephew Brayden Peterman; his niece Jenny Legge (Robin); his great-niece Kelsey Legge; and his sister-in-law Fran Abel (Bill).
