With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Russel Freeman of Wooster, Ohio, born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on February 23, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Zelle and Anna Short Freeman; and his siblings, Elizabeth Freeman McCoy, Rosemary Buchwalter and Michael Freeman.

He is survived by: his wife Teresa Cannon; his children, Daniel Freeman (Laurie) of Wooster, Jon Freeman of Wooster, Maria Hirst of Delaware, OH, Laurie Hamilton (John) of Kirkland, WA and Joseph Freeman; his grandchildren, Curtis, Stewart, Elyse Freeman, Daniel Hirst (Jennifer), Kathryn Hutson (Brad), Morningstar Hirst, Meghan and Brooks Hamilton; and his great grandchildren, Noah Hirst, Zoey and Oliver Hutson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
