He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Giffin and Bessie Kreis Giffin; his brother Calvin Giffin; his siblings-in-law, Sue Gay, Judy Chandler and Dale Hill; and his nieces, Lou Ann Giffin Casey and Ellen Giffin.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Hill Giffin (Hill); his sisters-in-law, Carol Ewing (Steve) and Theresa Colopy (Todd); and his nieces and nephews, Betsy Giffin, Calvin Giffin, Susan Gay-Brady, Jonathan Gay (Misty), Lee Petty (Beth), Kara Schooley (Shane), Barry Petty (Jennifer), Nathan Ewing (Jenny), Sierra Hill-Elkins (Jeremy), John Colopy and Matt Colopy (Tiffany). He is also survived by friends – brothers and sisters.
