It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of DVM James Hyland Howard of Wooster, Ohio, born in Plymouth, Indiana, who passed away on July 10, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles O. Howard and Ethelyn Steelman Howard. He is survived by: his wife Susan "Sue" Clough; his children, Charles C. Howard of Cincinnati, Anne S. Howard (Hakan Bergon) of Alexandria, VA and Katherine N. Arnold (Jean) of Athens, GA; his granddaughter Leila Arnold; and his siblings, Lucy Ann Strait of Boulder, CO, Nancy Sue Reed of Hamilton, IN and Paul F. Howard (Christine) of Hilton Head, SC..

“Jim Howard was one of a kind.Soft spoken,and very kind.He taught me alot about my pets.There wasn't any question you asked him,that he couldn't answer.He didn't mind if I had to call him at 3:00 am.He was glad to answer my questions about my sick pet.He was the BEST veterinarian Wooster will ever have.Everyone adored him.He also loved to smoke cigars with his son Charlie when he came home for the weekend. They sat on the porch and caught up with everything.Sue my thoughts are with you.”
