He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hooper and Constance Hilt Hooper; and his wife Carolyn Hooper. He is survived by: his daughter Kim Hooper of Conroe, Texas; his stepdaughters, Terry Dickinson of Spring and Georgianne Mauer of Doss, Texas; and his sister Kay McLellan of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nephews.
