He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Samuel Schmid and Helen Marie Harper Schmid; his brother Bob Schmid; his daughter Karen Sue Schmid; and his brother-in-law Karl Keener.
He is survived by: his children, Lorrie Schmid (Shane Thacker) and Scott Schmid; and his sister Nancy Keener.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home (216 E Larwill St, Wooster, OH 44691). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hattie Larlham, 9772 Diagonal Rd., Mantua, OH 44255.
