He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. McLaughlin and Lorena Droppelman McLaughlin; his wife Mary Clara Walter McLaughlin; and his siblings, Michael, William McLaughlin, Rose Anne Wilson and Mary Alice Boyd.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Schriver (Ken) of Albion, Joan Swallow (Mark) of Beallsville, Clara Pickrell (Gary) of Denver, Sharon Martin (Jim) of Martinez, Georgia, Robert J. McLaughlin Jr. of Woodsfield, Carl W. McLaughlin (Melissa) of Sunbury, Patrick A. McLaughlin (Kathy) of Freeland and Edward T. McLaughlin (Mary Faye) of Woodsfield, Ohio. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Abiding with the State of Ohio recommendations for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, a private visitation will be held for family only at Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio.
