He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Turner and Effie Weil Turner; his wife Peggy Burns Turner; his siblings, Foy Turner and Betty Lee; and his brother-in-law Robert Lee.

He is survived by: his brother Paul Turner (Judy) of Clarington; his sisters-in-law, Ila Turner of Clarington and Joan Meece (Vic); his sons, Jack Turner (Patty) of Woodsfield, Ohio and Sam Turner (Kristie) of Senecaville, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Jason Turner (Tiffany Goltz), Jonah Turner (Lauren), Jordon Turner (Reilly), Joshua Turner (Kate Davis) and Jessica White (Brady); and his great grandchildren, Rylee Turner, Ella White, Brantley, Finnick and Noah Turner.
