It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved George Schnegg Jr. of Woodsfield, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 93, on December 29, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Schnegg and Emma Buri Schnegg; his wife Mildred McDougal Schnegg; his brother Raymond; his sister-in-law Dorothy Schnegg; his sister Ruth; his brother-in-law George Gikler; and his great grandchild Jenny Lynn Dietrich.
He is survived by: his children, Marsha Leasure (Rod) of Marietta, Sandra Dietrich (Harold) of Clarington, Kathie Darrah (Glenn) of Woodsfield, Debra McDonald (Bryan) of Corona and Sam Schnegg (Heather Persinger) of Clarington; his grandchildren, Casey Dietrich, Derek Dietrich of Clarington, Jeff Dietrich (Valerie) of Marietta and Keith Dietrich (Tina) of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; and his great grandchildren, Jacey Dietrich, Alice Jo Dietrich, Isaac Dietrich, Eve Dietrich, Zackary Dietrich and Ethan Dietrich. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, face coverings and social distancing will be required for visitation on Saturday, January 2 at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Rev. Bill Meyer officiating.
