He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Burkhart Sr. and Dorothy Burkhart Wilson; his brother Edward Burkhart; and his stepfather Bruce Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Adrianne Osbourn Burkhart of Woodsfield; his children, Ryan Burkhart (Yvette) of San Antonio and Whitney Bedwell (Zachary) of Downingtown; his sisters, Norma Rucker (Ronald) of Beallsville, Nancy Miller (Dennis) of Miltonsburg and Tammy Rush of Miltonsburg; and his granddaughter Elizabeth.
