She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Bates and Leona Daugherty Bates; and her husband Paul R. Brown. She is survived by: her half-siblings, Ernest, Reed, Harry, Heber Bates, Freda Edington, Emma Nalley and Grace Turner; her siblings, Guy Bates, Mary Cline Kelch, Virginia Knowlton Weiscarver, Gladys Highman, Jane Strickling and Eleanor Weber; her daughter Rita Stoehr (Raymond) of Woodsfield; her grandchildren, Raymond Stoehr Jr. (Chacity), Suzanne Styc (Thomas) of Alexandria and Kristin Boan of Powhattan; and her great grandchildren, Ryan and Wade Stoehr. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
