It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris M. Brooks of Woodsfield, Ohio, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Alonzo McCollum and Lily Margaret Kenney McCollum; her husband Richard M. Brooks; and her daughter Patricia Templeton. She is survived by: her children, Norman L. Brooks (Kathleen) of Akron, Ohio and Lois LeMasters (Phillip). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Watters Funeral Home (37501 OH-78, Woodsfield, OH 43793). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church (330 S Main St, Woodsfield, OH 43793).
