He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Marmie and Nellie Marmie (Chambers); his wife Norma Marmie (Egler) of Traverse City, MI; his daughter Debra Burke (JD) of Ozark, OH; his siblings, Charles, Eleanor, Jessie, Ida Louise, Evelyn, Mabel, Robert, Elmer and Carl; and his half-brothers, Marion and Carris.
He is survived by: his former wife Naomi Marmie (Poulson) of Woodsfield, OH; his children, Shirley Marmie-McCance of Byesville, OH, David Franklin Marmie Jr. of Germantown, OH, John Marmie (Monica) of Morgan Hill, CA and Anthony Marmie of Columbus, OH.; and his grandchildren, Jarrin Burke (Sarah), Savannah Eddy (Travis), Matthew Burke (Lanae), Le Vanelle Marmie, Deidre Colvin (Jared), Christian Callarik, Zane Marmie, Isaiah Marmie and Ethan Marmie.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home - Harper Chapel (52728 Ohio Ave, Beallsville, OH 43716). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
